For Checkpoint, I designed stickers and created copy that align with their visual identity. The stickers are part of a campaign to spark conversations about sexual health, encourage testing for STDs, and raise awareness of knowledge gaps and challenges. Using humor and relatable design, the campaign aims to break stigmas and foster open dialogue about sexual health.
The challenge of the project was to help Checkpoint reach young people and break down the barriers that often make it difficult to have open conversations about sexual health. They needed to find a way for young people to engage with the messages in a relatable and impactful way, while also raising awareness about the availability of counseling and testing services.
The goal of the project was to engage young people in conversations about sexual health, raise awareness about available counseling and testing services, and break down the barriers that prevent open dialogue on the topic. Through relatable and visually appealing content, the aim was to make these important messages more accessible and less stigmatizing for the target audience.
The solution involved designing playful, humorous stickers within Checkpoint’s visual identity. With engaging fonts and lighthearted messaging, the stickers aimed to grab young people’s attention and encourage conversations about sexual health. The design sought to promote testing and raise awareness in a non-stigmatizing, approachable way, making counseling and testing services more accessible.
Checkpoint makes your sexual health journey easier and more inclusive. Their clinics are buzzing with passionate people working every day to create a safe(r) space just for you.Why did they create Checkpoint? Because they believe getting tested for STIs and accessing advice about sexual health or living with HIV should be simple, supportive, and stigma-free. Checkpoint isn’t here to replace the public healthcare system — it’s here to fill the gaps. They focus on the groups most at risk for STIs and those who might not feel at home in traditional healthcare settings - and they got you covered!
